They picked up their third win on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over NSC Rebels.

Both teams were missing key goalscorers and early opportunities at opposite ends went begging. But as the game continued both sides attempted to focus on possession play.

In the second half Chameleons gained increasing control of the midfield which eventually paid off when Jonathan Dodd fired home a Martin Ford cross with 15 minutes remaining.

Rebels' attempt to hit back by pushing players forward failed to bring rewards as Chameleons comfortably played out the rest of the match.

In the second game of the day, second-placed Wasps remained two points behind the leaders after a 3-0 win over Polecats.

It was Polecats, however, who almost took an early lead when Adam Payne deflected a shot narrowly wide after a long run through midfield by Steve Nurse.

John Robbins opened Wasps' account by slipping a loose ball past goalkeeper Davie Kerr.

Payne then came close to equalising soon after with a well-hit reverse stick shot and went closer still when Wasps defender Peter Martin was called on to make a goal-line clearance.

That clearance seemed to shift momentum back in favour of Wasps who scored a second goal through Simon Farrington.

The second half saw Polecats continue to pour pressure on the Wasps defence who were largely restricted to counter-attack opportunities. It was not to be their day, however, as in the final minutes George Wright added a third for Wasps with a diving deflection.
