Hill emerges from seaon-long slump
weekend when he struck two half-centuries and then picked up five wickets to help take Bailey's Bay nearer a 1994 Camel Cup place.
His return to form could not come at a better time as the Bermuda Cricket Board of Control will soon announce the squad of 16 for the ICC Trophy Tournament in Kenya next February.
Hill is joined in this week's Fab Five by Devonshire Rec's Albert Steede and Bruce Perinchief, Allan Douglas of Cleveland County, and Ricky Brangman of Southampton Rangers.
Ricky Hill: Weekend started with a spectacular 50 in the ICC trial match.
Struck eight fours and two sixes in an innings, which ended too early for the purists. Returned the next day in the league to claim five for 33 from nine overs of occasional swing bowling against deflated St. David's. A nine-wicket victory was completed after he had made 55 not out. He hit five fours and two sixes.
Albert Steede: Has been scoring freely since Cup Match. Unfortunately, his influence at the wicket has not been enough to lift Devonshire Rec. above mediocre. Made an efficient 51 in the ICC trial and followed up with 78 at opening bat against nine-man Somerset.
Bruce Perinchief: Had a good bowling weekend at Devonshire Rec. field where spinners, let alone leg-breaks bowlers, are generally treated harshly. Took four for 53 in 10 overs in the ICC trial and then five for 19 against Somerset.
Allan Douglas: Having his best season with the bat in some time for Cleveland.
Top-scored against Police with 58 and then had four dismissals behind the stumps -- one catch and three stumpings.
Ricky Brangman: Has endured a tough time with the bat for most of this season, but broke out of his shell with 81 in win over Flatts -- his highest of the season.
RICKY HILL -- His return to form could not have come at a better time.
