Butterfield Bank dropped five cents (0.3 percent) to close at $18.75 on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

A total of 2,942 shares were traded by the bank throughout the day.

The only other companies for whom shares changed hands were BF&M Ltd. (74) and KeyTech Ltd. (29), but neither saw their share price change.

Overall, the Index closed down 7.99 points (0.16 percent) at 4,945.55, with 3.045 shares worth $57,004.70 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index finished down 1.71 percent 1,176.05.
