Lacrosse body strikes deal with Onion TV

The Bermuda Lacrosse Association has entered into an agreement with local television station Onion TV to produce lacrosse-related shows.

Onion TV, a community-focused production on CableVision channel 75, will be focusing on Bermuda Lacrosse events around the Island and promote awareness of the sport.

The projects will culminate in a behind-the-scenes documentary-style DVD of the Bermuda Lacrosse Association's under-19 team as they prepare for the lacrosse World Championships in July.

Alex Dill and Travis Caines are behind Onion TV - a new TV channel focused on bringing Bermuda-based entertainment to viewers across the Island.

Michael Totman, president of the Bermuda Lacrosse Association, said: "We feel this agreement serves the purpose of promoting the sport in Bermuda for young athletes to get involved, as well as Alex and Travis' goal of providing exciting community-based content for local television."

The Bermuda Lacrosse Association is a local charity charged with promoting healthy lifestyle and exercise through lacrosse. Upcoming events include an invitational lacrosse tournament in Bermuda and participation in the 2008 ILF Under-19 World Championships in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
