MIND READER

Internationally renowned mentalist Max Maven is certain to leave his Bermuda Festival audiences amazed with the power of his performances when he appears at City Hall theatre tomorrow, Friday and Saturday evenings.

"Thinking in Person" is described as "not conventional, but pure magic".

From a simple gesture or position, Mr. Maven is able to determine what a complete stranger is thinking. His ability to fascinate and stir the audience into disbelief, combined with his wealth of knowledge and reference to his own life make this show more than just another act.

His reputation for having a powerful stage presence and incredible skills are such that David Copperfield, Siegfried and Roy and Lance Burton have consulted him. He has also been a consultant on a number of books about magic and has written his own book, "Max Maven's Book of Fortunetelling".

In addition, the award-winning mentalist has been featured in such popular television shows as "Prince of Bel-Air" and "General Hospital", and also starred in his own television show, "MAXimum Dimension", which was designed to educate children specifically in mathematics.

Mr. Maven has performed all over the world, and has been described as a superb storyteller whose show blends the arid, sophisticated and slightly sinister into performance which balances the humorous and the hair-raising.

All performances begin at 8 p.m. The Friday and Saturday shows are sold out, but check with the Festival box office adjacent to the ferry terminal between noon and 2 p.m. weekdays [tel] 296-5774 for ticket information/returns on all three shows, or arrive early at the City Hall box office for possible returns.
