People from the UK have been given an extra incentive to fly to Bermuda after British Airways launched its New Year sale.

Winter sun seekers can pick up round-trip fares from London for [POUNDSTERLING]399 ($780) — a saving of up to [POUNDSTERLING]272 ($530) before January 27.

It is part of a deal offering cheap flights on selected dates between November and next August.

The move comes less than a year after BA extended its London-Bermuda route to a seven-day-a-week daily service.

The New Year sale comes as part of what BA officials describe as their largest ever ticket price sale, which includes cheap flights from the UK to 140 destinations including America, the Caribbean and Australia.

BA adds that people travelling in January will benefit from lower Air Passenger Duty charges, which the British Government has increased with effect from February 2007.
