Bermuda has recorded its ninth road fatality this morning when a Warwick man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to Police Media Relations, at 7.25 a.m., Police received a report of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on Middle Road in Southampton near Jew’s Bay.

The cycle was travelling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 46-year old Warwick man, lost control and collided with a pole.

The man was rushed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead at 7.55 a.m. by an on-call physician.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact PC Cletus Cyris at the Somerset Police Station on 234 1010.
