Police appeal for help in murder inquiry
Police have appealed for witnesses to a gun murder a year ago to come forward.
A police spokesman said the shooting of Paul Johnson outside his home in Pembroke’s Rambling Lane on December 10 last year was still under investigation.
It is believed that the gunman lay in wait until he returned home.
The spokesman said residents in the Rambling Lane area may have seen people acting suspiciously before the shooting.
He said: “Time has passed, but the events of that early morning are still relevant today and you hold the key to bringing the offenders to justice, and closure to Paul Johnson’s family and the community, that is still grieving.
“Several witnesses have been interviewed, however there are still members of our community that have not come forward.
“The investigators want to speak with you.”
Mr Johnson had been at a party at the former Grand Bar on Hamilton’s Church Street on the night he was killed.
He left in a car with friends and later arrived home on his motorcycle.
Anyone with information that could help the inquiry should contact Detective Sergeant Jason Smith on 717-0864 or by e-mail at jsmith2@bps.bm.
