Another record high was set by the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange as it closed at 5,188.66, up 14.12 points (0.27 percent) from Tuesday's previous record high.
Stocks valued at $28.5 million changed hands, including nearly half-a-million shares in Butterfield Bank, a record one-day volume of trading for the bank's stock.
Butterfield Bank remained unchanged at its 52-week high of $60 despite 470,030 shares changing hands.
Belco shares improved 80 cents (3.5 percent) to $23.80 as 200 were traded.
LOM Holdings slipped from the 52-week peak achieved on Tuesday as its shares lost five cents (1.4 percent) to close at $3.45 with 100,000 shares exchanged.
The total number of shares traded on the Index was 570,230, worth $28,551,560.
