Cedar Aviation sold to Texas chain
Texas-based Atlantic Aviation is now the sole general aviation services provider at LF Wade International Airport after its acquisition of Bermuda’s lone fixed-base operator, Cedar Aviation Services.
The mega-chain has continued its expansion, making the private jet terminal operator its 109th FBO across North America, the Caribbean and the Atlantic.
An article in Business Aviation Services said Atlantic would now transition the location to its own brand over the coming months.
The publication said the 6,440-square-foot FBO terminal at LF Wade offered an 11-seat conference room; meeting space; concierge service; customs and immigration assistance; pilot lounge; and international trash disposal.
The aviation publication also said its leasehold featured more than 16 acres of ramp for aircraft parking.
“Cedar Aviation has long demonstrated an exceptional level of personalised care and support for aircraft crews and passengers,” Atlantic chief executive Jeff Foland said.
“Their values and service standards align closely with ours and we look forward to building on the strong reputation they have established.”
Earlier this month, the mega-chain acquired the former ExecuJet FBO at Saint Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport.
“The acquisition of Cedar Aviation strategically enhances our international presence and expands our portfolio of island FBOs in leading leisure and business destinations,” added Bobby Femia, the company’s vice-president of mergers and acquisitions.
Last month, Atlantic expanded its footprint in the US Southwest with the purchase of Jet Center at Santa Fe, one of two FBOs at New Mexico’s Santa Fe Regional Airport, its third location in the state, joining facilities in Albuquerque and Farmington.
