And this weekend, in an event carrying that title, the high school's alumni will join together to showcase their talents and honour the school and its staff.

From 8 to 10 p.m. Berkeleyites of graduate classes spanning the decades will take their audience on a trip down memory lane with dance sounds from tap to jazz.

One of the organisers, June Clarke Caisey, pointed out that it was not the first time that Berkeleyites had highlighted their talents.

"Last year we had Quantum Leap which was an artistic expression of emotions, involving storytelling and calypsonians,'' she said.

Mrs. Clarke Caisey said she expected the upcoming weekend event to do just as well.

"It will mainly be dancing,'' she explained. "We will have ballet with a real ballerina. There will also be a variety of sounds so people will be able to tap, do the Charleston, the jitterbug, etc.'' Mrs. Clarke Caisey will perform the finale "We Are Family'', from the movie Dreamgirls.

Performers will include gospel singer Ruth Ella Smith, saxophonist Lionel Edwards, guitarist Albert Joell, drummer Darius Richardson, and comedian Nadanja Bailey.

A host of singers and dancers will also be featured, including singers Phiemma Caisey, Rodney Trott, Sia Spence, June Clarke Caisey, new R&B singer "Mokah'', and the band John Lee & Company.

Dancers will be Alexis Wolffe, Koshea Scott, Keisha Allen, Suzanne Williams, and Nekisha Tyrell.

Gates for the show will open at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $10 from 27th Century Boutique on the corner of Church and Burnaby streets and from True Reflections at Parliament and Reid streets.

John Lee will provide the sound. For more information or for ticket delivery call 291-4113.
