Bermuda pick up more medals at Caribbean Cycling Champs
Bermuda’s cyclists continued to pick up medals at the 2026 Caribbean Elite and Under-23 Road Cycling Championships in Dominican Republic yesterday.
Nicholas Narraway won bronze in the elite men’s road race, adding to his silver medal in Saturday’s individual time trial.
Narraway completed the 127.6km race in 3 hrs 12 min 47 sec, sharing the same finishing time as runner-up Briton John, of Guyana. Christopher Morales Fontán of Puerto Rico claimed gold in 3:11:19.
Bermuda team-mate Kaden Hopkins finished seventh in 3:16:08, following his time trial gold the previous day and giving Bermuda two riders in the road race’s top ten.
Alexander Miller suffered an early flat tyre and did not finish. Conor White and Dominique Mayho also recorded DNFs after contributing to Bermuda’s team effort.
Gabriella Arnold finished runner-up in the women’s elite road race, losing a sprint finish after 81.2km of racing to Raquel Restitullo, from Dominican Republic.
Panzy Olander finished sixth, 5:48 behind the leading pair with Charlotte Millington finishing ninth overall and runner-up in the under-23 division.
