Do the police need some help?
Dear Sir,
Are things getting too hot to handle for the Bermuda Police Service here in our 21-square-mile island?
Much public money is being spent on cameras being placed in strategic public areas, whether they are working or not is yet another question?
Speaking in plain English, is gun/firearm use and violence increasing?
Why do we need firearms to exterminate chickens? Are chickens that clever they can avoid being baited or lured into areas where they can be captured?
How much of our public money has been expended on killing or capturing chickens by shooting them? How many have been shot over the past 12 months?
During the Police Commissioner’s press conference held on October 15, he referred to two persons — one “was” aged 31 and another “was” 42. Was that a Freudian slip? Should he have said “is” and not “was”?
Can the Police Commissioner give us a regular, periodic update on outstanding matters still under active investigation? Whether they be traffic fatalities, or shooting deaths, etc?
Or do we have to rely on The Royal Gazette’s keen community concern and spirit to apprise us of cold cases or from other local social media?
And, are matters so overwhelming that we might have to enlist the help of Scotland Yard or a United States Task Force, as was done in the Clean Sweep Operation?
