Three hurt in Harbour Road crash

Five vehicles were damaged, and three people sustained injury, in a crash yesterday on Harbour Road, Paget, near Valley Road, police reported.

The collision occurred at about 3.30pm, according to a spokesman, after traffic stopped for roadwork near the Lower Ferry stop.

A motorcycle with a pillion passenger was headed east when the collision occurred, also damaging a taxi, two cars and a 50cc scooter.

The scooter and one of the cars were in the westbound lane.

The rider and his passenger, aged 16 and 18 and both from Warwick, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The passenger was treated and discharged, while the driver was stable and recovering this morning on a general ward.

The scooter rider, a 19-year-old Warwick male, was hurt but did not attend the hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Inquiries are continuing, and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number at 295-0011.
