Green team hammered the Gold team by 139 runs in their 40 overs intra-squad
Scores: Green 279 for four (40 overs), Gold 140 (33.5 overs).
Despite removing Ryan Steede without a run on the board and Sam Robinson 18 runs later, the Gold bowling enjoyed little success as captain Gregory Talbot used 10 bowlers in trying to contain the free-scoring Simons, Tucker and Scott Tucker who finished with 34 not out. Opener Dennis Kelly scored 28.
Two big partnerships, one of 133 for the fourth wicket between Kwame Tucker and Simons, which took the score from 52 to 185, and an unbeaten stand of 94 between Simons and Scott Tucker for the fifth wicket, led them to their massive total as they scored at a rate of 6.97 per over.
No Gold bowler managed to take more than one wicket, with opener Kamal Trott finishing with one for 19 from six overs, Kameron Fox one for 16 from four, Hewvonnie Baker one for 29 from five and Maurice Lowe one for 26 from five.
Tajmal Webb was the most expensive bowler, giving up 48 runs in his four overs while the team's main strike bowler, Gary Williams, finished wicketless in his eight overs, which cost 40 runs.
The Gold also lost a wicket without a run on the board when Webb became the first of Kevin Hurdle's three victims. His opening partner, Desmond Crockwell, was the team's top scorer with 26 before he was fifth out while Tory Henry scored 20 in the middle order. There were 42 extras in the Gold innings.
Hurdle finished with three for 20 from his eight overs while Dennis Kelly, the seventh bowler used, also took three for 20 in five overs. Jahmiko Marshall was two for 16 from six overs. Ryan Steede got the other wicket, for 16 runs from four overs.

GOLF GLF Dave Purcell shot an impressive 68 to lead a depleted field in the Monthly Medal competition, organised by the Bermuda Golf Association on Saturday.
Purcell's two-under-par score was far and away the best round of the 11 golfers who participated. Organisers blamed a smaller than normal field on the numerous tournaments being held on the weekend.
Judithann Astwood maintained her consistent form and led the women's field with a 77.
Andrew Bissell, Tom McFarlane and Eldon Raynor finished in second place after shooting a three-over-par round of 73. Close behind were Barry DeCouto and Wendell Trott with 76s.
Chalmers Talbot and Jack Wahl rounded out the men's field with scores of 78 and 79 respectively.
Nathalie Davis fired an 88 to finish in second place among women golfers while Glenda Todd and Teri-Lyn Calderon were third and fourth after posting scores of 91 and 92.
The next round of medal play is scheduled for May 8 at Belmont Golf Club and Tom Smith will accept entries by phone. He can be reached at 238-1367.

The event, which is sponsored by the Department of Tourism, kicks off at 7.30 a.m. with flag-bedecked boats assembled at Albuoys Point for the Fleet Parade.
The parade of boats will head towards Two Rock Passage where they will then disperse and head for various fishing grounds.
Weigh-in stations will be established at the Mangrove Bay Public Dock in Somerset and at Ordinance Island in St. George's. All boats are required to report their catches at either of these locations prior to 5.30 p.m.
The tournament is open to everyone -- local residents and tourists -- and charter boats are being encouraged to officially enter visiting anglers if they are to compete on the day of the tournament.
Entry forms are available at the Department of Tourism, Flybridge Tackle and Four Winds Tackle shops or the Sportsman's Shop and they must be completed by April 30.
