Two men were today arrested in connection with the death of Danshun Swann, who was fatally stabbed outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club.

Police confirmed the pair, aged 24 and 25, were being held in custody.

Mr Swann, 25, was pronounced dead at the King Edward Memorial Hospital where he was taken following an incident shortly after midnight yesterday.

Bermuda Police Service said a 19-year-old man, who was arrested on Monday in relation to an alleged “mêlée” outside the sports club, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A spokesman added: “The investigation regarding the fatal stabbing of Mr Swann continues, with detectives renewing their appeal for the drivers of three private cars that passed along South Road at the time of the mêlée to come forward.

“The drivers of these cars are of particular interest to the investigation, as they would have witnessed the events as they unfolded.”

Members of the public with relevant information were urged to call the investigating officers Acting Detective Chief Inspector Arthur Glasford on 717-0773 or Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith on 717-0864.

Alternatively, the Serious Crime Unit can be reached on 247-1739 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline number is 800-8477.
