Rawlins looks to go big as Kent in control

Rawlins scored 24 in the first innings

Delray Rawlins will look to produce a big score today as Sussex aim to avoid defeat on the last day of their three-day Second XI Championship match against Kent at the Polo Farm ground in Kent.

Kent, 191 for seven, have a 337-run lead with three second-innings wickets remaining.

They scored 392 in their first innings and then dismissed Sussex for 246 with Rawlins scoring 24.

How soon Rawlins gets to bat again will first be determined by whether Kent continue batting this morning or declare on their overnight score to give Sussex the challenge of scoring 338 to win.

The Bermudian scored 40 on Monday as Sussex beat Kent by 89 runs in a Second XI Trophy one-day match.

Rawlins bowled nine overs in the first innings of the three-day match, going for 40 runs. He also bowled two overs in the second innings for four runs.
