The Ascendant Group Ltd climbed 1.71 percent (24 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The utilities company traded 1,010 shares to close at $14.25.Butterfield Bank also endured a busy day, with 1,033 preference shares changing hands as they fell 0.88 percent ($11) to $1,225 and 18 common shares being transacted, but their share price held firm at $1.26.The Index, as a whole, was up 2.11 points (0.19 percent) at 1,117.49 with 1,028 shares worth BD$14,413.40 and 1,829 shares worth US$1.3 million traded.The BSX Insurance Index rose 20 points (2.09 percent) to 978.
