Bermuda end tour on winning note

Bermuda ended their tour of Dubai on a winning note today.

The Islanders beat Uganda by 41 runs in a World Twenty20 qualifying 13th place play-off at the ICC Global Cricket Academy Ground.

Guiding Bermuda to its second win in eight matches was middle order bat Janeiro Tucker who belted a half century and off-spinner Dion Stovell.

Tucker thumped seven boundaries and two sixes down the ground in an unbeaten knock of 62 off 41 deliveries as Bermuda piled up 179 for 4 after being asked to bat.

The economical Stovell then returned figures of one for 23 as Uganda were restricted to 138 for 5 in their reply.

Others making useful contributions with the bat for Bermuda were opener Fiqre Crockwell (47) and Lionel Cann (42).

Stephen Outerbridge led Bermuda today in the absence of skipper David Hemp.

Opening bat Arthur Kobe (41) and seamer Jonathan Sebanja (2 for 31) were the standouts for Uganda.
