Can we trust them again?

November 12, 2012Dear Sir,I ask all of you that will be going to the polls on December 17 to cast your votes, to first consider the following:OBA1. New political party with a lot of talent and experienced people.2. Good platform but yet to prove themselves.3. Could be looked at as a white-based political party.4. They have yet to prove themselves so they don’t have the political history as the PLP.5. One thing for sure the OBA can’t be blamed for, (a lot of) the problems in Bermuda today because they have never been in Government. Now the PLP.1. Not the nicest people, power has changed them.2. They don’t like to admit when they are wrong.3. Big money spenders.4. Lacked the vision for a rainy day — which is NOW!5. Declining overseas company footprint in Bermuda — less money.6. Wasted millions of dollars since 1998.7. Lack any true strategy to deal with crime thus it’s to the point where murders are common in Bermuda.8. Through lack of financial control and vision we now have a billion dollar-plus national debt and it’s climbing.9. The education system has only improved ten percent since 1998.10. A failed Tourism Plan has done nothing to boost any real visitors growth.11. More than 2,500 people unemployed — the PLP truly lacked the vision to see this coming and when the experts told them. They refuse to listen.12. The new destruction of the Towne of St George’s — which includes the nearby golf club that was knocked down and turned the golf course into a big lawn, if the grass ever gets cut.13. Failure to widen the St George’s Cut channel to make way for a larger cruise ships so that the Towne economy can be where it was in the 80s and early 90s.After what was done by the spin doctor I don’t think I will/can trust them one more term…It’s your vote and your future.)RAYMOND RAYSt George’s
