Why kill innocent dogs? Punish the breeder

Put down: Kash was seized from his owner’s home last month because animal wardens believed he had been illegally bred. Owner Tishae Davis said she should have been permitted to send him abroad

Dear Sir,

It is wrong for dog wardens to kill dogs because of what they think they look like and because of being illegally bred.

Why kill the innocent dogs who didn’t asked to be born? The breeder broke the law, so punish them.

The owners care for their dogs and provide a safe environment for them; loving them, correcting, providing care and training them to be lovable, as seen in the case of poor little Kash. Punish the deed and not the breed makes sense.

It is horrible to make assumptions that if a dog looks of a pitbull type, they can be killed without doing DNA testing. It is inhumane. What happened to Care and Protection of Animals Act 1975? The Government doesn’t have to follow the law?

They need to fix it so that dogs have rights. For heaven’s sake, they have feelings. They breathe the breath of life as we do; they bleed the same, feel, cry and love the same.

The Government needs to amend the law of killing dogs and let’s try to protect the sociable, loving, innocent ones.

Put policies in place for owners to ensure safety for all, including animals.

We shouldn’t have to resort to murdering them, as they have already been born. Animals should be treated like children, ensuring that they get the best chance in life. It wouldn’t be nice if your child, or a child that was given to you, was ripped from you because of race and other people’s actions — and the result is to kill them without a cause or reason.

How can this government feel satisfied with this. It’s not right and we are pleading for the Government to fix this big problem.
