PSG have that extra quality that can see off Chelsea

In what was the most highly anticipated Champions League quarter-final draw in many years, Manchester United have to pull out all the stops after they were drawn against the best team on the planet in Bayern Munich.

It will take all their experience to overcome this big obstacle, but in the end I truly believe they will be outclassed and thoroughly outplayed in the 180 minutes.

On any given day, you can produce the goods, but when you are missing a player like Robin van Persie, who is out for six weeks, you will always be up against it.

For United to win, they will need to be at their best — and higher than their best — if they are to stand any chance of being remotely in the tie.

The thrashing they got from Liverpool was papered over by their win over Olympiacos, but they will not make the Champions League next year and will have to settle for a possible Europa League spot.

Chelsea getting Paris Saint-Germain is the tie of the round, given the millions of dollars that will be on the pitch.

For José Mourinho, it will be a different foe, and one that he did not fancy playing in my opinion because they have the players and capability to wipe any team off the field when they are on.

The question will be how can Chelsea contain the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edison Cavani and the rest of that potent attack, and if they can there will be a good result for them.

Chelsea have quality, but PSG have a bit more quality in my eyes and they will be tipped to get cross their English rivals.

Real Madrid will have revenge on their mind against Borussia Dortmund, and even though they are in good form they must learn their lessons from a year ago when they got played off the park.

They will surely go into this match with more caution, but, with that being said, Dortmund have nothing to play for in their league and other competitions, so they can focus solely on this trophy.

Barcelona drawing Atlético Madrid is the most intriguing tie of the round, and with their closeness in relation to their positions in the Spanish league, nothing will be in the tanks when they are done.

Their first meeting this year was a 0-0 draw and I expect it to be tight once again.

The team who want it the most will come out of this round, and it will not be pretty.

This weekend’s top match in England is the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal and, although they are at home, Chelsea will need to be at their best to get the result that will keep them at the top of the Barclays Premier League.

With Manchester City having three games in hand, they are in the drivers’ seat, but these two sides are in good form at the moment so it will be interesting to see how it all transpires.

Arsenal can put an end to Mourinho’s unbeaten run at home, but they will need to be careful in throwing caution to the wind and chasing a piece of history.
