Cruise ship arrivals rose this week, with five ships bringing the Island over 13,000 visitors total, – 3,000 of which stayed less than four hours.

The Caribbean Princess docked at Kings Wharf on Sunday at 1.15 p.m. carrying 3,434 passengers, but the ship left port at 6 p.m. that day.

The Norwegian Majesty docked at Ordinance Island on Monday, and will be returning to Baltimore before noon tomorrow morning. The ship is carrying 1,577 passengers.

Also arriving Monday, the Explorer of the Sea berthed at 9 a.m. at Kings Wharf, and departed yesterday for Cape Liberty, New Jersey with its 3,601 passengers.

The Norwegian Dream arrived at port yesterday morning. The ship will be berthed at Penno's Wharf for three nights, before departing with its 2,017 passengers Friday at noon.

The Norwegian Dawn was scheduled to arrive at Kings Wharf this morning, carrying with it 2,712 passengers. The ship will return to Boston on Friday at 5 p.m.

In shipping news, the Somers Isle is scheduled to arrive at 8.15 a.m., bringing the Island 161 containers, including five reefers, two boats, and a truck.

The Bermuda Islander will be arriving 9.30 a.m. on Thursday.

It will be discharging 186 containers in Bermuda, including 31 reefers, six tanks, and nine flatracks.

Arriving on the Island on Sunday, the Oleander brought 215 containers, 47 of which were refrigerated.

In addition, the ship brought nine cars, four buses, a water truck, a wood chipper, and a tractor before departing on Monday.
