Profits may be brewing at Bermuda Triangle
its first profit this summer, according to part owner and Vice President Philip Mason.
He said the company was currently expanding its sales force to try and increase its market share. He believes Triangle currently has less than five percent of the local beer market. The company produces about 6,000 litres of beer a week during the peak summer season.
Triangle's top product is its Spinnaker brand on draft, with Full Moon Pale Ale coming second in popularity, Mr. Mason said. The company's draft beer outsells its bottled product by two to one. Triangle recently introduced Hurricane Wheat, described as a light beer, for the summer season.
The brewer also produces Wilde Hogge and Hammerhead Stout brands.
Triangle is owned by Mr. Mason, his brother Paul Mason, Teresa Taguchi, and Mark Pettingill and has five full time staff.
Mr. Mason said the company was considering purchasing more fermentation tanks to cope with increased demand for its beer.
