The Sea Princess was en route to Houston, Texas, from Russia when it called in at Five Fathom Hole and unloaded the corpse to a pilot boat.

According to John S. Darrell, local agent for the tanker, the dead man was a 50-year-old Filipino national who suffered fatal head injuries when he fell on deck.

Police were called in to investigate the mishap and boarded the vessel at Five Fathom Hole at dawn. Their preliminary investigations did not suggest foul play and the Sea Princess was allowed to leave Bermuda waters.

An autopsy of the body was carried out at the King Edward III Memorial Hospital yesterday. The body will be sent to the Philippines later this week.

On Friday, the gravel ship, Nordanhav is slated to dock at Penno's Wharf in St. George's. Nine-thousand tons of gravel will be off loaded from the ship at the western end of the wharf.

Casual caller to the Island, The Royal Viking Sun cruise ship, docked at Kings Wharf, Dockyard on Monday morning. The 604 passengers on board had the opportunity to celebrate Bermuda Day before leaving later that night.

The Royal Viking Sun is on her way to Madeira from Miami, Florida.

Other cruise ships in on Monday were the Norweigan Crown with 938 passengers and the Zenith with 1,412 passengers. The Norweigan Majesty with 1,378 passengers docked at St. George's yesterday.

The container ships Bermuda Islander and the Oleander both called in at the Hamilton docks this week. The Bermuda Islander with 116 containers, three 20-foot containers and two boats arrived in Bermuda from Salem, New Jersey, on Thursday morning at daylight. She is scheduled to leave Bermuda and return to Salem on Friday morning.

The Oleander came in on Sunday evening with 190 containers, 151 of them carrying dry goods and 39 holding refrigerated items. There were eight trailers with boats and steel, 36 cars and 1 excavator. The Oleander left Hamilton yesterday morning.
