today.

Lee Saunders, who is leading the National Trust project to stabilise a crumbling St. George's landmark, is the featured speaker at today's talk at the Bermuda National Gallery.

Mr. Saunders' presentation will cover his work at the Unfinished Church and some of the other buildings from around the world which he has worked to preserve.

He has been in Bermuda since March of last year and before that he worked on a number of historical ecclesiastical and public buildings in the UK and in Africa as a stonemason and relief worker.

The Unfinished Church was begun in the 1870's, but work stopped due to difficulties in the east end parish and since then the building has been a victim of erosion.

The Trust project, which was assisted by a generous donation from Mrs. Walter Jones and her family and the support of the Ministry of Works and Engineering, has preserved the landmark and made it safe for visitors.

The talk will take place at the Bermuda National Gallery on the second floor of City Hall between 12.30 and 1.30 p.m.
