Dancing up a storm
through April 11. The show this year is diverse and the arrangement of pieces is classical, modern, tap, hip hop funk, and African dance. "We have three pieces choreographed by overseas choreographers and there will be one piece that international dancers will perform with the local company,'' choreographer/o rganiser Suzette Harvey said. She added: "Three male dancers from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia will be brought in to perform some individual pieces. Choreographer Kevin Malone has choreographed the last piece of the programme which is called `kiskadees'. He is our first male choreographer. "What will make this show better than the last is the fact that the dancers have been more exposed to different teachers/choreographers, they have learned to appreciate movement.'' Miss Harvey concluded: "If people thought our past shows were great this year promises to be a step above the rest as our dancers are more aggressive about what they want and what they want to express to the audience.'' The show on Wednesday, April 8 will be students night and tickets are $15. Regular tickets are $25. All shows start at 8 p.m. Patrons night is Thursday night.
