The Farmers Market may have a new home in the Botanical Gardens should a Planning application by the Department of Parks for a new barn at the Botanical Gardens be successful.
The Department of Parks has sought planning approval to replace an existing stable with two new buildings.
?The two stables used for the Annual Exhibition have been up for a very, very long time,? Park Planner, Drew Pettit said.
Mr. Pettit said the old stable was damaged in Hurricane Fabian and Parks wanted to replace it with a multi-purpose barn.
?It will address the deficiencies that was there before,? he said. ?It will principally be for the Ag Show but could be multi-purpose, maybe even for the Farmer?s Market or events like that.?
The Farmers Market currently meets at Bull?s Head car park and will be open tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Paint firm to expand
The Bermuda Paint Company (BPC) wants to expand its storage space in order to stock more of paint products.
BPC has sought Planning approval to remove an existing building on Watlington Road West, Devonshire to construct new office and retail space, new internal staircase and other internal renovations.
