An 85-year-old Southampton woman, who is a double amputee, was allegedly punched in the head by a younger woman during a dispute at an address on the Railway Trail in Southampton.
A 26-year-old Pembroke woman was later arrested and bailed by Police in Somerset following the incident last Friday around 11 a.m.
The victim suffered minor facial injury during the argument. Police are now investigating.
Cash and a digital camera are missing from a Warwick home after a burglar struck.
Police said a silver Olympus camera and $10 in coins were stolen from a South Road property during Saturday. Elsewhere, a Sony camcorder and a ?50 note were taken in a house raid in Beach Road, Sandys, on Friday.
A burglar stole jewellery from a home in Devonshire on Monday. The break-in happened on Watlington Road East between 1.30 and 2.30 p.m. Two gold chains, one with a cross pendant and one with a pendant bearing the name Sataisia, were taken, along with two gold rings with diamonds.
Overnight on Monday, a guest property on South Road, Paget, was broken into and $100 in US currency stolen. Anyone with information about either crime should call Police on 295-0011.
Shopkeepers are being advised to be wary of anyone trying to buy unusually large quantities of eggs in the run-up to Halloween.
In a statement, the Bermuda Police Service said: ?We would like to remind the public that officers will be deployed before Halloween and during Halloween night to ensure the occasion is enjoyed by all.
?As Halloween approaches we would like to advise shopkeepers to be especially vigilant about whom they sell eggs to and to be wary of individuals attempting to purchase large quantities of eggs.?
During the weekend eight people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, with five road collisions taking place and believed to be the result of drink-driving, according to Bermuda Police Service.
There were ten reported burglaries; one in Smith?s Parish, two in Devonshire, two in Pembroke, two in Paget, one in Warwick and two in Sandys.
Over the weekend there were also 24 reported damage-only road traffic collisions, six reported collisions resulting in injury and 11 reports of eggs being thrown at passing vehicles.
