"I honestly believe that this will see a cultural turn around," he said. "It will take a long time for the fathers of Bermudians to feel part of parenting. What's happening is gangs. Where children are chopping themselves to death and I would submit to you, that if father's there, it would be different."

Mrs. Wade-Miller said this review process has been used in the past 20 years for the Tumin 1993 review of the criminal justice system in Bermuda and the Justice system review in 2004.

"Those Committees consulted widely and as a result were able to make far reaching incisive recommendations to Government," she said. The current work focuses upon an important area in civil justice and seeks views of as wide a cross-section as is possible in the time available."

ChildWatch will be holding a general meeting on Monday night between 6 and 9 p.m. at St. Andrew's Church to discuss submissions. If you are interested or have questions contact Mr. Fisher at 234-2858 or eddie@blessed.bm.
