Last night a car's back window was smashed when an unidentified object was thrown at it while driving down Scott's Hill Road, Sandys Parish.

No-one was injured but Police unsuccessfully searched the area for suspects for a time afterwards.

Another incident involved rocks being thrown at a bus on the North Shore Road at around 11 p.m. on Saturday night A passenger was injured and the scene was attended by an ambulance.

The injuries are not believed to have been serious.

Other reports involved youths gathering and throwing eggs and/or rocks at homes and passing vehicles.

In one instance, a taxi driver stopped and requested Police assistance after his vehicle was pelted with eggs on South Road, Warwick, near Astwood Cove, at around 9.30 p.m on Saturday.

Reports of incidents were mainly confined to the western and central parishes and included Ice Queen parking lot and South Road, near the Botanical Gardens entrance in Paget; the Berkeley Institute, Bernard Park and Cheriton Lane in Pembroke; Cedar Hill, Middle and South Roads and Khyber Pass in Warwick; Spittal Pond car park in Smith's Parish; Bob's Valley Lane and near Arnold's Supermarket in Sandy's; Robert's Avenue and Barker's Hill in Devonshire and North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.

Rocks were thrown at a Police vehicle attending a report in the Heron Bay area.

Several arrests have been made as a result of the incidents and court appearances are anticipated for this morning.

Two Reserve Police officers also arrested a man on Front Street at around 12 a.m. on Sunday.

They noticed the man walking along the sidewalk carrying a 15-inch metal hook.

He was questioned and placed under arrest for possessing an offensive weapon.

The man struggled with the officers before they were able to convey him to the Hamilton Police Station.

Outside the Station the officers were involved in another violent altercation with a friend of the arrested man. Both were detained pending further inquiries.

In an unrelated incident, two motorcycle riders received several broken bones after their vehicles collided on Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke yesterday afternoon.

One man, a 35-year-old Sandy's resident, sustained a broken nose, a broken left cheek and a broken left wrist.

His cycle was extensively damaged.
