On Saturday afternoon, officers were called to an apartment on Purvis Lane, Warwick where a neighbour reported coming face to face with the suspect, who claimed she had permission from the owner to be there.
The woman, who escaped shortly afterwards with a quantity of loose change, is described as being brown-skinned, of slim build, in her 20s and with long dreadlocks.
Also targeted by a thief was Davison's on Front Street.
The opportunistic culprit apparently took advantage of a busy sales period on Saturday afternoon to remove two moneybags from an unsecured office area.
The bag contained a significant amount of cash, coins and travellers cheques.
Chatham House on Front Street was also victimised by criminals when a quantity of cigars was stolen from the shop on Saturday afternoon.
The proprietor described the suspect as being brown-skinned, approximately five foot seven, of stocky build and wearing dark clothing and a hat.
A residence on the Railway Trail in Sandy's Parish was the scene of break-in and theft on Saturday morning.
According to Police, one of the complainants encountered the intruder in the kitchen of the house and mistook him for a family member preparing to depart on his morning run.
Upon realising his mistake, he summoned help from two other male members, who tackled him to the ground.
The suspect still managed to escape however and he took with him a grey jacket and a wallet containing a quantity of cash, credit cards and other personal items.
