Crown counsel Larry Mussenden said Police found Taiheed Talbot, of Redcoat Lane, St. George's, drunk and unable to take care of himself at 4:55 a.m. on October 9. He was slumped over on his side in front of the Emporium Building on Front Street. Police became suspicious when he was unable to leave the scene unaided. Talbot was cautioned and brought to Hamilton Police Station.
Mr. Mussenden said Talbot became hostile, cursing and jumping from his seat to lunge at a Police officer. He had to be restrained and incarcerated.
Magistrate Edward King issued a 12-month conditional discharge.
When questioned yesterday, Talbot said: "I was drinking and all. I just went outside and went sleep.'' He was apologetic and said the incident would never happen again.

He was fined $235 for speeding at 62 kph on Kindley Field Road, St. George's on October 29, $290 for speeding at 68 kph on Kindley Field Road on October 24, $750 for driving an unlicensed cycle on Kindley Field Road on October 5, $200 for speeding at 56 kph on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish on January 1, and $500 for driving a cycle without insurance on October 5.
The fines totalled $1,975.

He was fined $250 for riding an unlicensed cycle, $750 for driving while disqualified, and $750 for riding without insurance.
CABBIE DROVE WITHOUT DUE CARE CTS Cabbie drove without due care A 58-year-old man paid $300 in fines yesterday in Magistrates' Court. Crown counsel Veronica Daley said Frederick York, 58, of South Breeze Road, Warwick pleaded guilty to driving without due care when his taxi collided with a cycle at the junction of Richmond and Rosemont Avenue at 8.50 a.m. on June 17.
The driver of the cycle received a fractured left ankle and a torn ligament in his right hand. York, who received minor injuries and whose taxi received some dents, yesterday told Magistrate Edward King his mind was elsewhere.
