Motorcyclist medevaced with neck injuries
A man was medevaced overseas for treatment after sustaining neck injuries in a weekend road crash.
According to the Police the 32-year-old from Pembroke was travelling east on a motorcycle along North Shore Road in Smith's at around 9 a.m. on Sunday when he lost control and collided with a bus stop pole.
The man whose name was not released by the Police suffered lacerations to his knees and elbows in addition to his neck injury.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital before later being sent overseas for treatment.
The crash was one of 23 incidents on Bermuda's roads that left people injured over the course of the Cup Match holiday, between 7 a.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m. yesterday.
A further 18 collisions caused damage to the vehicles only, and five people were arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
