occurred between Sunday afternoon and early yesterday morning.

A Berkeley Road, Pembroke man's apartment was broken into on Sunday between 3 and 4 p.m.

He told Police his girlfriend allowed another woman into his apartment while he was at a neighbouring residence.

When the visitor left, his girlfriend joined him but when they returned to his apartment they saw the visitor leaving for a second time.

They then realised that a leather pouch, two pairs of suede boots and a quantity of cash had been stolen.

On Monday afternoon a man was arrested for stealing a wallet in a St. George's pub.

The victim reported to Police that his wallet was taken but the thief left behind a radio.

This was then traced back to its owner and an hour later the alleged thief returned the wallet to St. George's Police Station where he was arrested for stealing.

Elsewhere that afternoon a honeymooning couple's money belt containing cash, credit cards and identification was stolen from their livery cycle's basket.

The couple went to Admiralty House in Pembroke around 3.30 p.m. and left the belt unattended for a few minutes while they took photographs near the beach area.

Upon their return they found the belt missing.

Later on Monday a Hillview, Warwick couple's home was broken into.

They said the wife heard noises coming from the kitchen around 10.20 p.m. and they found a young man there when they went to investigate.

He struggled briefly with the woman's husband before fleeing and the couple later discovered several items of jewellery and some loose change had been taken.

Meanwhile officers rushed to a burglar alarm at a Court Street store at 5.50 a.m. yesterday to find the front glass window of the Connections Boutique had been smashed and a variety of clothing had been taken.

The area was searched with no results, however Police are following a number of leads in connection with the theft.
