out one themselves during men's hockey league play at Nationals last Sunday.

Against a shorthanded Upstarts outfit, Polecats romped to a 5-1 victory.

Carl Seale opened their account with a penalty flick and Adam Payne scored a second before more poor defending from Upstarts provided Seale with another penalty opportunity which brought the score to 3-0 at the half.

Continued pressure on the Upstarts goal resumed in the second half and Seale completed his hat-trick with a goal from open play before Lawrence Smith provided a fifth. Jay Ryan netted a late consolation goal for Upstarts.

Meanwhile, middle of the table Wasps were unlucky not to come away with full points after a hard fought 2-2 draw against league leaders Chameleons who were missing a few key players.

Wasps, featuring recently transferred goalkeeper Kevin Hill and returning players Carlos Lee and Paul Farrington, were put under early pressure when Chameleons went up by two goals.

Jonathan Dodd opened the scoring for the Reds after a failed Wasps clearance and the other was added by Mark Finnegan from a short corner. But Wasps hit back when Lee struck an important goal just before the half.

Bert Rodney completed Wasps' comeback by converting a penalty flick after the Chameleons goalie covered and obstructed the ball early in the second half.

Sustained pressure from Wasps for the rest of the game went unrewarded.
