Ingham stood third after the initial qualifying held at Temple Farms in Wadsworth, Illinois.

With half of the 37 riders having already performed, the 19-year-old has a good chance of being one of the 12 who go through to Sunday's final round.

A score of 999 points was the Bermudian's reward for a fine ride in her first appearance at the event. The leader in the event posted a total of 1,049 while the second place contestant recorded 1,004.

Ingham was also third in a preliminary competition on Wednesday.
