In Mott's Sportsmen's League action, Mini Forwarders clobbered Youngblood 231 -31 , Pembroke Juniors defeated Sparks 171 -91 , Social Club narrowly got by Buy & Sell 14-13 and Warwick Reds topped Warwick Whites 15-12.
Mini Forwarders dominated the evening with team high series (2,881) and team high game (1,066) and were led by Chris Leverock who rolled individual high series of 633 and Dudley Browne who managed to bowl third-best individual high series for the night with 625. Browne also registered third-best individual high game of the night with 233.
Pembroke Juniors delivered second highest team high series (2,761) and team high game (944) behind the solid bowling of Dean Lightbourn who managed to come up with second highest individual high series (626) and second-best individual high game (237).
Despite coming up on the short end of their game, Youngblood had something to smile about with Walter Wilson, who bowled indiviual high game on the night with 249.
Warwick Reds had a team high series of 2,688, for third-best of the night while Sparks compiled third highest team high game with 913.

In the Mixed Majors Bowling League, two teams -- Last Minutes and Untouchables -- scored shutout victories over Troublemakers and Trojans respectively, while Dolphins, B's & G's and Mix Ups were the other opening week winners.
Untouchables, 4-0 winners over Trojans, boasted top high series (2,149) and high game (771) behind the solid play of Millie Waldron, whose 575 was best high series among women and her 214 was second-best high game in the league during opening games.
Untouchables also received a boost from their male players as Howard Francis (597) had the second-best high series among men while Howard Francis (218) put together third-best high game with an impressive 218.
Last Minutes defeated Troublemakers 4-0 behind a second-best high series of 2,101 and Vernon Daniel's high series of 601. Other stalwarts for the winners were Lee Ann Bean who led all women with her high game of 222 and had third-best high series with 558.
Troublemakers failed to capitalise on the momentum generated of Helena Rawlins, whose 211 was third-best high game.
Dolphins got their season off to a good start when they toppled Dynamic Four 3-1 despite the fact that they put together the third-best high game on the night with 715.
Kathy Christopher was undeniably the dynamic one behind her 570, which was second-best high series among women and her 211 high game which tied Rawlins for third-best of the night.

In the only other game, B's & G's got the upper hand over Strikers, 3-1, even though Lionel Dowling compiled the second-best high game among men with his 222 tally.
