School finals rescheduled
three Bermuda high school soccer cup finals will be played tonight at National Sports Centre.
Last night Saltus played Northlands in the under-15 final. Today, Saltus take part in the two other finals, beginning at 5.30 p.m. with the under-13s against Warwick. The nightcap sees senior cup-holders Saltus, who lost just once during the 14-game regular season, against Northlands.
But the lay-off has hurt the Saltus seniors, who have lost two starters through injury, including defender Richard King with a broken leg. Conversely, Northlands welcomed the break, getting back Kofi Dill, whose position in defence will help release Jehmiko Jennings and Daniel Jennings in midfield.
Warwick are the favourites in the under-13 match, having overcome Saltus convincingly in league play. Saltus' cause is not helped by the loss of defender Terry Sousa (appendicitis).
The lighting situation at PHC Stadium has visiting Oneonta College of New York on the move again.
Tonight's 7.00 match against a BFA women's league West select squad has been moved from PHC to Somerset Cricket Club. Tuesday night's match against the PHC women's squad was moved from PHC to Devonshire Rec.
Oneonta's tour concludes as spectators, as they will watch both the FA Cup men's semi-final and the Crystal Palace under-16 boys semi-final on Sunday.
