Tracy Wright and Karen Adams -- her third straight triumph -- were the winners last year. Wright was first in 56.06 and Adams in 64.11 -- both times well outside the records set in 1984 and '85 by Mike Watson (51.25) and former resident Sandra Mewett (58.21).
Wright tuned up with a win in last Sunday's Lindo's 10K while Adams has been missing from the race scene recently, reportedly through injury.
