Cricketers await ICC selection

Bermuda Cricket Board of Control executives tonight...with few major changes anticipated from the last two tours to Guyana.

Opening batsmen Dexter Smith and all-rounder Lionel Cann, both of whom missed the Shell/Sandals tournament in October but were included in the short tour to Guyana recently, could be included in the squad of 16.

One other player expected to be a strong contender is off-spinner Del Hollis who could come in to replace orthodox leg-spinner Kameron Fox from the squad which played in the Shell/Sandals.

Janeiro Tucker and Corey Hill are two others in the running but their reluctance to give up football might work against them.

The main area of concern is the fast bowling department where there are few options.

Roger Blades and Anthony Braithwaite were the two main fast bowlers for Shell/Sandals, but neither went on the last tour, while injury also kept out Gregg Foggo. Youngster Kevin Hurdle of Flatts might be a surprise inclusion.

Certainties for selection would be captain Albert Steede, Dean Minors, Clay Smith, Bruce Perinchief, Arnold Manders, Jeff Richardson and Glenn Smith, if he has recovered from injury.
