David's will have to replay their June 6 match on Saturday, The Royal Gazette has learned.

The match, which ended in controversy with fast bowler Dale Fox delivering an 11th over, was won by four runs by the former Eastern Counties champions.

Devonshire protested on the grounds that Fox started an 11th over plus the fact that he returned to bowl at all after captain James Pace finished a previous over when the pacer was no-balled for chucking.

The latest revelation casts aspersions on the Camel Cup race as, with a victory on Saturday, Devonshire could overhaul Cleveland.

Champions St. George's, Camel Cup holders Western Stars and Bailey's Bay have already confirmed places.

Rec. defeated a weakened St. David's side on Saturday in the Knockout Cup semifinals and there has been no indication that the islanders will be keen to go at it again with nothing to play for.

Also rescheduled is the Knockout Cup final between Devonshire and St.

George's, which will now be played on Sunday at WHite Hill field.

St. George's catch a break there as wicket-keeper Dean Minors is due to feature in Neil Paynter's wedding on Saturday.

Fast bowler Kenny Phillips, however, may nevertheless be unavailable after suffering a hamstring pull on Sunday.

Saturday's other match sees Southampton playing St. David's in the Shell Youth final at White Hill field.
