weekend, beating previously unbeaten Berkeley on penalty kicks at the National Sports Centre.

And it also proved to be a good night for Dellwood Middle School who won two titles. All of the matches were close, either decided by the odd goal or on penalty kicks.

In the senior match, Kevin Lambe scored from a goalmouth scramble in the final minutes of the first half to give Berkeley a deserved lead. But second half substitute Eugene Calder equalised for Warwick Academy when he was sent clear midway through the second half and made no mistake.

The goal seemed to lift Warwick's spirits and they were rewarded for their hard work with a go-ahead goal from Georon Trott.

The goal jolted Berkeley who piled on the pressure but were denied by either poor finishing or brilliant saves by Warwick goalkeeper Steven Ambrosio.

However, Ambrosio soon became the villain of the piece when he fouled Nasir Wade to concede a penalty. Kingsly Mundy converted from the spot to even the match at 2-2.

Ambrosio then made amends during penalty kicks when he made three vital saves to leave semi-final hero Eddie Richardson to calmly convert the deciding penalty and send his team-mates and supporters into a wild frenzy.

Delwood beat Whitney 3-2 in a hard-fought under-13 final. The hard-working Reggie Baker opened the scoring for the champions midway through the first half and added his second minutes later.

Dwyia Blyden pulled one back for Whitney before Baker completed his hat-trick with a well-struck shot minutes before half-time. Whitney pressed forward in the second half and managed to pull one back.

But it was not enough to prevent Dellwood from winning their second championship in successive years.

The over-13 final between the same two teams was a much closer affair, with Dellwood picking up their second cup with victory in sudden death shootout after the teams were tied at 1-1 after regulation time.

Dominic Butterfield opened the scoring early in the first half for Dellwood and Whitney continued to press forward but were denied on several occasions by the Dellwood goalkeeper. Cornell Castle Jr. scored from a thundering 30-yarder in the dying minutes to send the match to penalties.

The teams were still level after five penalties before Storm Cassidy hit the sudden-death winner.
