Fray fires all five in Rams win
5-0 on Saturday at Malabar to take over the top spot in the Commercial League Group B.
Fray's goals helped the Rams move from third to first after the two teams above them, Fire Service and Valley, both drew 2-2.
The firemen were hosed down by third-from-bottom Exiles who led 1-0 and 2-1 on goals from Edwin Ford and Allan Johnson before Kenneth Ford and Stephen Caines kept Fire Service in the game and earned them a share of the points.
Valley missed the chance to go top when they also were held to a 2-2 draw against Wolves Pack. Sean Smith and Blake Lambert scored for Valley and Daniel Stovell and Dennis O'Brien for Wolves who remain in fourth place.
Belco picked up their first win of the season when they beat bottom team Somerset Extros 4-1. Orel Swan led the Belco scoring with two goals while Casey Butterfield and Robert Thompson got the others.
In the other Group B match Bermuda Pest Control beat Devonshire Lions 5-2 with Dalton White and Eugene Lightbourne each netting twice and George Braithwaite the other for the winners. Howard Amory and Gary Bascome scored for Lions.
BAA Wanderers kept their grip on first place in the Group A when they beat third-placed Island Rangers 5-3. Rangers took a shock 2-0 lead after just five minutes but Wanderers battled back to 2-2 at the half before outscoring their opponents in the second half.
Mike O'Connell led the BAA scoring with two goals while others came from Stuart Drake, Darren Hope and Andy McCulloch. One of the Island Rangers goals was an own goal by Gary Flood while the others were scored by Blane Outerbridge and Mike Bremar.
Second-placed Robin Hood lost valuable ground when they were held to a 1-1 draw by MR Onions who wiped out Jar McCabe's first half goal with a last minute penalty.
Mariners and St.George's All-Stars both closed in on Island Rangers with victories, Mariners beating Forties 2-0 on goals from Carlos Lopes and Craig Dixon in the second half and All-Stars edging by Spinning Wheel 3-2.
St.George's took the lead through Cal Rayner in the first half before Des Minors scored either side of the half to put Spinning Wheel in control.
Sinclair Smith, who played in goal in the first half until David Brangman arrived, hit the equaliser and winner for the home team in the second half to secure the points.
