The match came down to the final game between Doors' Dennis Parsons and Vasco's Brian Walker -- a replay of the Gosling Cup final -- with Parsons emerging victorious.

With the first half of the season now complete, the team record last season of 240, held by Vasco, has already been equalled or bettered four times by four different teams -- Frog & Onion 240, Mariners Rangers 242, Swinging Doors 243, and Vasco 244.

In the individual standings, leader Walker of Vasco lost some ground to team-mate and second placed Mike Zimmerman in the Swinging Doors match but is still 24 points clear at the top.

Gary Bascome (Doors) and Trevor Mouchette (War Vets Snipers) are battling for third place with seven players within 10 points of fourth-placed Manual Furtado.

Next tournament is the Chopper Challenge on January 16 at Robin Hood, a handicapped Scotch doubles event.
