fourth annual Junior Heritage Day Classic for eight to 15-year-olds takes place.

The invitational-only race from Front Street to Bernard Park has a field of 66 boys and girls, but Morrison is missing as he is now too old. Henry Talbot and Lamont Marshall, third and fourth last year, are expected to be the main contenders in the 13-15 boys in the absence of Morrison and Richard Walcott, who was second last year.

Terrence Dill, Coyatito Smith, Cody Lima and Chayce Smith are four to watch in the 11-12 age group, while Kor-Von Tucker and Carlo Paynter are expected to lead the way in the 8-10 boys.

Among the girls, Shar-Dae Whitter will be attempting to defend her overall title in the 13-15 division, with competition expected to come from Ashley Robinson-Roberts and Jenny Palmer. Chloe Kempe and Flora Duffy in the 11-12 age group are also both capable of challenging the older girls.

Sierra Dowling, Shellicia McKenzie and Kimberley Fisher, daughter of well known runner Jennifer Fisher, should be the main contenders in the eight to 10 year girls.
