Shannon Caisey produced the performance of the day as motorcycle racing returned to the Southside raceway on Sunday after a one-month lay-off.
Caisey won three out of four races to win the GP heavyweight class on his first appearance since stepping up from mini stock.
Only David Jones' victory in race three prevented Caisey from achieving a clean sweep.
The scooter class was the day's most popular and was won by the team of Mark Lightbourne and Norman Smith, who warded off tough competition from second-placed James Tyrell and David Jones.
Tyrell fell off his bike in race two, trying to avoid Smith, who ran wide at corner five, and was then replaced by Jones, who won the third race.
But Smith and Lightbourne won the first two races and race four to claim overall victory.
The stock/lightweight class was swept by Grant (Chelsea) Goudge, who forced Alex Dowling into second place and Colin Pearman jr. into third.
In mini stock racing, Johnny Tumbridge took the honours with two runners-up finishes followed by two victories. Aaron Persad had won races one and two, but failed to finish race three, allowing Shakai Talbot to claim second place.
HARNESS RACING RAH Eddie Roque and Tuxedo's Bowtie set the fastest time recorded at Vesey Street this season to win the first Junior Free For All heat on Sunday.
At the meet, which boasted the biggest racecard of the season with 35 trottingbreds competing in 24 races, Roque won the heat in one minute, 6.2 seconds, and thus has one leg out of that time bar.
Moving to the Junior Free For All is Tom Matthews' Catch A Fire. He was driven by Derrick Seymour to win in 1:09.
L/A Ermatime with David Lopes and Jennifer Time with Pascal Duckett each turned in their fastest time of the season and have one leg out of the 1:10-1:12 time bar.
Young Mark Richardson won two races with Jandysgiddyupgo, while other double winners were Ponder Dawn, Abbe's M&M, Trot Acre Byrd and Brittany Gold, who was driven by Nicholas DeCosta, the day's leading driver with four wins.
The next race day is Boxing Day, featuring the two, three and four-year-old stakes races, post time 12 noon.
