South African leads ocean swim field
fourth open water swim of the summer series on Saturday.
Stoltz clocked 35 minutes, 48 seconds over the 1.7 mile course, more than two minutes faster than second placed Mike Cash, who leads the six-race series.
Last week's Bermuda ITU World Cup Triathlon saw Stoltz finish 15th, but he has been left stranded on the Island since the event because of the lack of an entry visa into Canada, the United States or England in order to fly home to South Africa.
Cash finished ahead of a pack of swimmers, including veteran Duncan Newby, Mike Parrish, Mark Herman and top female, Sarah Mancell.
Overall, the series continues to grow in numbers, with more than 90 different residents or visitors having competed in the first four races.
Each event is staged at a different venue around Bermuda, increasing in distance each time. The next race will be on July 27, over two miles.
