University of Georgia, came from behind to lift the Fecchio Cup at Belmont yesterday, overhauling overnight leader and defending champion Chris Garland.

Helped by an eagle two at the par four first, Spurling quickly reduced the five shot deficit and went on to card an even par 70 while Garland could manage only a 78. Spurling finished the 54-hole tournament on 220 and Garland on 223.

In the 13 and 14 age division, Fraser Hunt fired 76 yesterday to stretch his lead and finish as a convincing winner on 228, 26 shots clear of second-placed Colin Brown (254).

Aaron James also ran away to victory in the 12 and under division, carding an excellent 71 yesterday for a 218 total. Second was Anthony Smith on 249.
