That?s the verdict of Tourism Minister Ewart Brown, who yesterday confirmed that ticket sales were up by more than 50 per cent on last year.

At the start of this month, 5,157 tickets had been sold. That compares to 2,505 at the same time last year for the 2005 festival.

Seats for the October 5 show featuring Motown legend Gladys Knight and hosted by comedian Steve Harvey have already sold out.

The Minister said the festival was on target to be bigger than ever, with hotels currently at near capacity and looking set to remain at that level leading up to the musical event that runs from October 4 to 7.

Dr. Brown urged anyone without tickets to get them soon. They are available from Sound Stage, Washington Mall, or at www.ticketweb.com
